The Flying 64th is a general aviation club located in the heart of
East Tennessee between the shadow of the Cumberland Plateau and the foothills of
the Smoky Mountains. The airport (designation TN08) is just two miles north of Our
club (presently 25 members with several student pilots) owns two aircraft, a
Cessna 172 Skyhawk and a Cessna 150. We fly out of a nice 3000 foot grass strip
- a private airport known as Braden Field with a history that goes back to
World War 2.
